I’m Zoë (she/her) and I am a qualified counsellor & psychotherapist. I’m Irish with Afro-Caribbean heritage, and currently based in Bristol.
Navigating life in the current climate is hard and dealing with the ongoing unrest in the world alongside our own personal battles can often feel like too much to hold. While therapy alone cannot change the world, it can be a place to share the load, to untangle yourself and make sense of who you are and where you’re going.
I work integratively, weaving together relational psychodynamics and existential theory. As we work together, we will form a relationship, and that relationship might mirror other relationships in your life. We will explore patterns that emerge and link familiar feelings and reactions to past experiences. All of this can be used as a tool to help you understand yourself and the ways you relate to others better. Existential theory helps us to understand our place in the world, how we make meaning and how to make sense of difficult experiences which throw us off balance.
