I offer low-cost, long- and short-term counselling to adult individuals at Bristol Talking Therapy Rooms.
I am in my fourth and final (submission stage) year of training with Bath Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy (www.bcpc.org.uk) and will receive a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling. This is a dual accredited British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) course. I am a BACP student member and abide by their code of ethics (https://www.bacp.co.uk/events-and-resources/ethics-and-standards/ethical-framework-for-the-counselling-professions/ethics/)
I have worked in the helping professions for over 15 years and also teach, mentor and coach post-graduate professionals in charitable, private and university sectors. I have worked as a counsellor for Cotswold Counselling – a charity in Cirencester – since March 2020. Prior to this, I was a volunteer listener for a charity helpline for 6 years.
I offer a gentle, supportive, non-judgmental environment where I encourage you to explore your feelings and problems at your own pace. Here, you will be able to tell your story, and feel heard and understood. Together we can explore your life and behaviour patterns, how these may have stemmed from past experiences, and discover new ways to relate in the outside world.
Low cost: £25 for 50 minutes
